The individuals listed in the sign in and sign out form can pick up the child from class. On the other hand, if you want someone else who has not undergone any paperwork to pick up your child, you must contact us beforehand. Our staff will never release the children to any unauthorized third party or the individuals who are not the child's custodial parent. Suppose the custodial parent is unwilling to grant permission to the non-custodial parent. In that case, it is required for the custodial parent to give permission to the non-custodial parent. In this context,the permission must only be granted for certain specific occasions and not always. We always focus on maintaining the child's safety, and we never break the guidelines and policies of the class. Therefore, if the custodial parent looks forward to denying the release, they must focus on providing the legal documents associated with the child's custody.
If an authorized individual or the child's parent is picking the child late, then as per the rules and regulations of the class, a penalty or late fee charge will be applied for every 15 minutes delay. On the other hand, if the child is constantly being picked up late, the teacher will then look forward to undertaking further action. The class teacher can call the parent-teacher meeting and will also raise the late fee charges. This is done because when the parents do not pick up the child on time, it makes the child upset. Therefore, it is always advised to the parents to call us beforehand if they are supposed to get late. The members of the staff are not at all allowed to transport the children to their homes. Our teachers are highly qualified and professional in their job. Teachers often direct the children to undertake individual activities such as solving puzzles and reading books; whenever the teacher sees any child's inappropriate behavior. If the problem of the child's behavior is continued, then teachers look forward to informing the child’s parents. The unusual behavior such as biting, kicking, throwing tantrums, prolonged crying, and any other inappropriate behavior is informed to the parents immediately. In this context, it is noteworthy that depending upon the severity of the child's inappropriate behavior and safety issue; the child can also be dismissed from the program. However, the decision regarding dismissing the child's program is made with a prior discussion with the director, teachers, and parents of the particular child. In the end, the director of the preschool focuses on undertaking the final decision regarding the child's dismissal from the program. We do not punish the children using timeouts, withholding the food, and leaving them alone. On the other hand, we never have any physical punishment on the children, we do not yell at them, and we do not undertake rough handling or enclosing or restraining them in the confined space. We are concerned about the negative impact of such punishment on a child's wellbeing; therefore, such situations are avoided in the program. However, teachers may look forward to asking your child to step in the hallway to calm down. On the other hand, the teachers can also ask the child to talk with the staff to not create any further disturbance to the class. Even if the children arrive at the school with symptoms of any illness, they will not be permitted to stay within the school premises. The children with the symptoms of illness will be kept away from the other children as the age is much sensitive, and contacting the sick child can also lead the other children to get ill. The sick children are seated at the front desk with the staff until the parents are being notified. On the other hand, the parent must notify us if the child is ill and not attend school on a particular day. The school will look forward to asking the parents to kindly notify them whether the child is suffering from any kind of infectious disease or not. The preschool is also accountable for notifying the parents about any outbreaks of communicable diseases in the class. In this context, it is noteworthy that the teacher does not focus on naming the child with the communicable disease. It is generally notified to the class so that the communicable disease can minimize the highest exposure situation. On the other hand, if the child has suffered from fever, vomiting, or diarrhea during the past 24 hours, he or she will not be allowed to attend school. The parents should significantly note that considering children's sensitivity, the school does not provide any medication to them during or after school hours. So, do not send them to school if they are sick.
It is kindly being notified to the parents that label all the belongings of the children. The school does not stand responsible for any lost items of the child. There is a basket in the schoolhouse, where they found, and the lost items are kept. At the end of the year, the lost and found items are being donated to the needy ones, if nobody claims them. We also provide classroom cubbies for the children so that they can effectively keep their belongings. Otherwise, the children can also look forward to keeping their belongings in the bag pack.
Parents are requested to dress their children in practical play clothes to feel comfortable in the class. Besides, as per the water condition, children should be dressed. We stand proud to acknowledge that we have a farm surrounding and a unique park outdoors, where our school is being located. Therefore, it is noteworthy that id children will play outdoors; they might get dirty. Therefore, the parents should look forward to effectively plan for different kinds of weather (not the severe ones). If the teachers feel that the child is not being dressed appropriately, then the clothes will be borrowed whenever possible. However, if no comfortable dress is available in the school, the child will have to stay with the school director, while the other children go out and play.
Yes, our child can bring the snack from home. In this context, the parents are notified to send small juice packets, water bottles, and small snacks for their child daily. For the licensing policies, the parents should focus on labeling the food and drinks with the child's name and the date. This is done due to the severity and the prevalence of food allergies among the small children; as a precaution, we also ask the parents not to send the treats or snacks that contain any of the nut or the nut products such as peanut butter. The parents also advised that the snacks they provide to the children should be non-perishable and nutritious. It is also being advised to the parents that they should provide lunch and a healthy snack as per the guideline of USDA. It comprises of vegetables, cereal, muffins, small sandwiches as well as the fruits. On the other hand, it is also recommended to provide 100 fruit juice and mineral water to the children to drink.
